Bristol Textile Recyclers Vintage Kilo Sale

Sometimes I question how many things go on in towns and cities that you are completely oblivious to. Today’s post is about the fabulous Bristol Textile Recyclers which is literally one road down from my work. Had I noticed, driving past each day that the place existed? No, I am too busy dancing and singing along to my get psyched mix trying to motivate and cheer myself up before starting my day at work. Bristol Textile Recyclers are a family run business who divert 20 tonnes of textiles daily. BTR work with charities, schools and fundraising organisations with cash for clothes services. Then people…

The Smoke Haus | Bristol Restaurant Opening

Last Saturday I attended one of the opening days of The Smoke Haus in Bristol. There is currently a The Smoke Haus in Cardiff, Swansea and Birmingham, with the new opening in Bristol. Charlie and myself headed inside around 7pm and were greeted by such lovely staff. There were…

Vintage Kilo Bristol Event Preloved Pay Per Kilo

Okay so perhaps a couple of years ago I went to the vintage wholesale event in Leeds whilst I was at Uni and pretty much bought every jumper (hello it’s Leeds and it’s cold). It’s safe to say the Adidas and Nike jumper sections are always the busiest sections of the room but that’s fine by me… I like the checkered shirts… I think Charlie and I arrived around 11am and I couldn’t have…

Exploring Bristol: Mercure Bristol Holland House Hotel and Spa

A few weeks ago in December, I was invited along to spend the night at the Mercure Bristol Holland House Hotel and Spa. Living so close to Bristol it is rare that I would actually pay to stay in a Hotel because a taxi home would be cheaper and hey, a girl’s got to save to be able to buy a house this year (before my brother moves back home from Uni). So naturally I was quite excited to leave work after our Christmas meal and head to meet Charlie at the Bristol Mercure. Typical and clumsy me drove to the car…
